I can attest that the MP2100 case is not plastic, but more like "rubberized". It
feels very nice in your hands, believe me! I'm using the Apple rechargeable NiMH
pack (I have 3 packs that I alternate), and I usually get about a week from one
pack. This is with a moderate use. I'm almost always plugging it when I connect
to the internet to download news from the usenet, or receive my email, or if I'm
planning to do some development session.

I'm very happy with it and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the whole world!
