Instead of an EMULATOR what about a new "open" PLATFORM based on the
basic concepts (UI, Programming, FormFactor) of NEWTON and the
MESSAGEPAD??? There still is no real competition and there doesn't
appear to be anything coming...
1) Apple (and Newton creators) provided a lot of documentation on the
Newton - Architecture Overview, Concepts, NewtonSript, Programming, NTK,
etc

Am I DREAMING (no) and how can this be done? With almost 2000 members on
this site alone it seems more than possible. I started programming NTK
in Jan'00 (a user for 3 years) and have been amazed at the amount of
information and support I found/seen. As far as hardware, it seems to
be becoming more and more plentiful (StrongARM, MIPs, and now
Transmeta). It reminds me of about 10 years ago when I was told MS-OSs
were the only FUTURE to start using MS Windows because UNIX (and Mac for
that matter) was going away...besides how could you run UNIX on
affordable hardware and how could a HOME USER afford the OS??? I didn't
listen then and refuse to now...
Opinions, Insight, Ideas???
