NTLK Brain Wipe

First and foremost, my thanks for your invaluable wisdom over the past few
years. I've been a faithful member of the list since my first MP100. I've
upgraded through the years to a 120 and finally my Apple upgraded MP2K.
She's been by my side providing comfort in a hectic world.

Reading several posts from my archives I determined it was time to "clean
house". I had made a decision to do a complete brain wipe and free up much
needed space on my Pretec 12mb card. I did a complete full backup along with
a sync to Claris Org. I felt I was ready to dismount my card. No problem
there. I then attempted to follow procedure for a hard reset. I pushed in
the reset button, held down the power-on switch, and then released the reset
button after 2 seconds. I then waited for the message asking me if I wanted
to erase my data. No message! I retried several times with no success. I
then removed the battery and power cord and left the unit alone for several
hours (4). I replaced the battery and she powered up fine but I'm still
unable to erase my data from the Newt. I haven't even gotten to the card yet
and I'm at a loss. Anyone ever had a Newt that just wouldn't reset?
