Did you ever get the iPod to sync?

I used a second and then third generation iPod touch and then an iPhone 3G on an 800MHz G4 running Tiger since ~08.

I'm not sure what version of the iPhone OS you're using, but iTunes 9 works with up to OS 4.1.

If you have higher than that, you may have to downgrade, which is easier said than done.

I think it's ridiculous that you can use Windows XP from 2001, but you can't use 10.4 from 2005. Granted, 2005 was a long time ago in tech years; but 2001 was even longer ago. I guess it's because something like 50% of Windows users are still running XP. Alas while Apple has improved up until 10.7 Microshaft has never really seemed to equal their success with XP.

Anyway, when it the iPod does sync, it actually works quite well in my opinion.
