[NTLK] MacBook & MP2100 Connectivity

Thanks in advance for your help. I was not successful connecting my MP2100 to my Windows XP desktop with the NCU; tried the slowdown.exe but just could not find the right combination. I got as high as 5 slowdown running but still could not connect. I may tackle this again later with your help.

But for now, I decide to try and connect to my MacBook OS 10.4.9. I have the Newton Connection Dongle, the cable, and the Keyspan USA-HS19 usb to serial adapter. I am planning on using NCX (http://homepage.mac.com/simonbell/connection/).

I have not tried the connection yet (waiting for the usb-serial adapter)
My questions:
1) From what I've read, this is supposedly a straightforward connection, yes? No slowdown needed... etc.
2) I don't need syncing ability. I just want to be able to get my Notepad notes from MP2100 to my MacBook so I can print / work with it. Is the above setup enough to export Notepad to my MacBook?

Thanks, again.
