Not sure what else is in the LC line, but the LC 575 has (according to
my other half) a 68040 processor, and in the Memory control panel I have
all kinds of options for virtual memory and 32-bit addressing... (which
NCU won't run without, it quits and says it doesn't have enough memory)

It says 12Mb built in, 24Mb total memory. No idea where the extra 12Mb
came from :-)

How does that relate to the size of the text (or RTF) file used as a
source?

That's the problem with world domination. Nobody is willing to wait for
it anymore, work slowly towards it, drink more and enjoy the ride more.
