Some software never made it to OS 2.x, and it's more frustrating to deal
with the software conflicts of older software trying to run on OS 2.x
machines. :-o Plus the form factor is different enough to make the older
versions more adaptable to particular situations. Not everything should be
dumped just because something newer is available.
