   Good Luck Brad,

I understand about $, $ is good, more $ is better, most $ is best.
Love of Newton dose not put gas in the tank, a bagel on your plate or
provide high speed DSL Internet access and since we must all take care of our
selves first because almost no one else is going to I for one wish you luck
at whatever your endeavors.
At this point anyway programing for the Newt is a Labor of Love and
surrounded by a group of people who love their Newtons enough to reprimand
and insult you for leaving the Newton Community but not enough to support
small developers or learn Newton programing themselves (we must all take care
of our selves first because almost no one else is going) must be annoying.
Sorry I don't use Outlook and perhaps I'm missing out for not using it
though I doubt it since I use my desktop almost exclusive for Internet and my
child's educational games and keep all my PIM stuff on the Newt.
The Palm emulator project excites me but unless this becomes a Linix style
group effort I doubt if one person or even a small group could have the
resources to produce it and with a waning customer base has a very limited
potential for profit, so this project must be a Labor of Love.
I hear the term Newton Community tossed around like it actually means
something when usually all it means is people who own a Newton and are
informed about current developments. Right Now the List is driven by a few
dedicated, knowledgeable, mostly friendly and helpful people who are
committed to all things Newton Message Pad, helped along by dozens of
committed but less knowledgeable people and supported hundreds of others who
want to return the favor for the help they have gotten in the past.
If We Love the Newton. It must be Our labor of Love.
Our strength is in our numbers, which is not enough to finance software
development for profit but far more than sufficient to develop it ourselves
for ourselves. If we as a community of Newtoniers get together, go out of
our way to learn Newton Programing, subdivide the task into small parts and
assign the parts to our Programing teams we might accomplish something great,
much greater than the development of a product. We could develop a real
community of friends who together can move forward and accomplish great
things.

Which brings me to my latest question?

As it will reduce community dependence on a few and take advantage of our
numbers if we can find one or more dedicated, knowledgeable, mostly friendly
and helpful programers who could conduct an online classroom with mini
projects to learn Newton Programing are there any takers for a Newt
Classroom. I'll be there as a student.

BTW Brad might I recommend that you keep your Newt at least until you are
actually using a PDA you like better than your Newton that way you won't have
to kick yourself for downgrading to a lessor PDA?

And

I probably wouldn't sleep with my Newton if I had a girlfriend to sleep
with. She might accdently damage it in her sleep ;-)
