Yes, when you restore, the password goes away.

Now, for your mysteriously disapeared items, did you backup with your cards
inserted? Do your cards have different names:? I'm not sure if this matters, but
it would certainly help. And I think that NCU will create a backup file with the
name you gave to the card. So, if your cards have the same default name, then
the backup of the 2nd one would erase the backup file of the first one. If you
had any documents and/or packages on that card, they are lost forever, if you
erased the card or restored to it.

What do you mean by "one of the cards info landed on top of the other card"?
