This is a tricky one.
I really really wanted to buy this book. $2.50 isn't really that much. You
can buy it from several e-book vendors for this price in several different
formats. Sadly as I use macintosh and newton there is no option for me to
use this book. So, I bought an e-book licence (but not from peanut press)
and as I don't have the ability to produce a Newton book from this I
downloaded the file. I don't know how it was done, but it's great. I don't
imagine for a minute that any of these companies would have much difficulty
producing a Newton version. Sure, there's not so many of us but how much
development costs would there be to increase their market by several
thousand newton users?
I believe we have to stick up for our platform by supporting those who
produce products for us. In the end though I feel obliged to give money for
Stephen King's effort but not to those companies who have abandoned us.
Whoever managed to produce this book has demonstrated that this is a viable
product. How do people suggest we do this officially?
Richard
