I don't know about its status. or whether it works compatibly on 2100.

I think strip.exe on a PC should strip just few (~256?) bytes off the file
that represent the "MacBinary" header. (that might occur if someone
uploaded the file as MacBinary rather than straight binary).

PackType on a Mac just changes the type/creator codes, and doesn't affect
the length of the file.

I'm guessing you've got a PC since you said you've used strip.exe,
so PackType really wouldn't work/help.
