NTLK Compaq iPaq - Possible future Newton?

Apologies if this has been discussed recently. I've been away for a while.

The new Compaq iPaq Pocket PC running the newest Windows CE has flash ROM
and a StrongArm processor. Compaq has released a complete set of
documentation for the hardware including the details for reflashing the ROM.
Right now, a Linux port is being discussed. My thoughts turn to Newton.

The form factor of the iPaq would make it a fantastic platform for a Newton
port. A ROM image from the Newton (legalities aside for the moment), with
suitable modifications for the hardware. Adding color, 32MB RAM, 16MB ROM,
204mHZ processor...
