I had a suspicion that MacOSX was borrowing from the
Newton, with its swooshing windows going into a folder (much
like the Newt's deleted notes crumple up and get tossed into
the trashcan). Now, a report says Apple is putting the
Newt's handwriting recognition into OSX. See this link:
