I believe (unless I'm getting my rumor and speculation crossed) that this is the entry-level model, intended for students and such. I don't mind the form factor (it almost looks as if it was designed with a bit more impact-resistance in mind, in which case a smaller screen might make sense), but the colors don't do much for me at all...

Even easier to fit in a pocket, if that appeals to you. (If you've never used something with a larger screen, you might never know the difference.)
