This is because there have been *very* mixed reports from people using REV:A
cards.

There was much discussion in the past few months on how to recognize a
working Farallon card, and probably the most reliable thing to use is the
fifth and sixth characters of the card's hardware address: Farallon uses
this number to determine the model numbers for its cards. Try searching the
list archives for more info.
