Look in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Apple->Newton Connection Utilities->Communications".

You need to replace the "38400" substring in the COM1 (or whatever serial port you use) with "57600". Once you did the change, don't go back in the NCU preferences, to see if the change
is in place. NCU doesn't support anything beyond 38400, so opening the prefs to check the serial port settings might set the speed back to 38400. Be careful to only replace "38400" with
"57600". Don't put any space or remove anything else in the string.

Oh, and you need to exit NCU before doing this.
