Not a new idea.

NewtPaint <http://www.landware.com/products/newtpaint/newtpaintps.html> has
been around for quite a while. There's also the drawing extension for
NewtWorks, though that only works if you have a MP2x00 or an eMate. There's
also a couple of tech drawing packages around as well.
