My FIRST computer was an Apple IIc. The point is that Gates & MS were
blown away when the Woz and Jobs demonstrated the Apple I and its system
when Gates only had a crude kludge DOS

See this page for more details: http://toastytech.com/guis/win1983.html (BTW, you should browse through the whole site as it contains anti-IE pages. I also sent some NOS screendumps to this guy a while ago)

The FIRST version of Windows I saw was Windows 1 in 1987/88

Gates wasn't trying to be better, he wanted to be the same.

That was an example of how far ahead of Windows, the Mac OS was at that
time (6 years). The gap has closed but Windows STILL has major flaws
when compared to the Mac OS; primarily its malware vulnerability.

No, you can sell a ton of product and make money EVEN though the product
is not that good. The Beta vs VHS "war" is an example. Beta is a far
superior system, but was trounced by one that was "just good enough"
for the great unwashed masses. The same goes in Mac OS vs. Windows;
Windows is "just good enough".

Maybe you should do that instead of using prerogative terms about others.
