One thing to always ask with prototypes, if in fact these Developer's editions are prototypes, is what processor is in there.
Some of either the DVT or EVT units (test units really), or perhaps both, only have ~25 MHz processors in them. But the 2000/2100 shipped with 167 Mhz processors, so...
I read the latter somewhere, can't remember where. So tread with caution when buying any prototype units...
