Has anyone ever seen fit to put together a master list
of the educational software that was put out for the
eMate? Nothing fancy, just a simple list of whatever
titles actually made it to market?

That Pen Computing Magazine article on the demise of
the Newton claimed that "Educational software
developers shipped dozens of titles for the machine
[eMate]." But a semi-casual search uncovers only two
titles:

"Type to Learn, a comprehensive keyboarding course for
students in grades K-12, on an eMate 300. Type to
Learn emphasizes letter, number and punctuation keys
while reinforcing grammar, composition and spelling.
Type to Learn is a hit because it includes four games:
Star Maker, Blast Off, Map Games and How Many?"

and

"Author's Tool Kit, a writing guide for kids in grades
4-12 to help draft, organize and proof their writing."

(There's also Grade Point and Learner Profile, but
those were titles directed at teachers)

All four titles were from Sunburst.

Are there other titles? Or are the "dozens" of titles
claimed in that article entirely non-existent? I
mean, writers on deadline are capable of saying just
about anything. @_@

From what little I can tell, most of the examples
given of the eMate being used in classrooms involved
some aspect of NewtWorks.

Best,

James Fraser
