If that's not it, the PWS you set up may ask for authentication credentials with Windows Auth and the Newton doesn't know what that is. If that's the case, you may have to make settings changes to allow only anonymous.

Try using the IP instead of the "desktop"... for example if your IP is
192.168.0.101 use http://192.168.0.101/newton
This is because the dns server newton asks to translate the domain
name to an IP so that it can connect to it
knows nothing about the "desktop" computer
