Re: [NTLK] Trouble Moving .rtf to Newt

Thanks, all, for the inventive responses. First, I want to deal with
the RTF/Nisus issue:

1) There is *something* up with Nisus's RTF. They know about it, and
I've been working with their lead engineer to fix the problem.

2) This is not an RTF issue, and so my choice of Word Processor (the
newest beta of Nisus Writer Pro) is irrelevant in terms of
compatibility. However, even re-saving the file in Word does not fix
the problem.

3) I have been using Nisus as my primary word processor (99% of the
time) for almost 2 years now and have never had a compatibility issue.
Nor, in those two years, has Nisus auto-indenting anything for me,
asked me if I wanted help making what looked like a list,
autocorrected a spelling that I didn't want autocorrected, or placed a
footnote on the wrong page, a bug that's been there since 1997.

As for the workarounds:

I hate to say it, folks, but if I can't move these files to the Newt,
add 3000-6000 words to EACH of the 5 files while it's on the Newt,
and move them back to my laptop without and muss or fuss, then this
ain't gonna work. As much as I'd like it to, it looks like these
files are just too darned big.

I understand I could save as .txt, but I need to retain formatting and
I don't want to come up with some confusing system of underscores and
slashes and whatnot to indicate formatting. I also have to be able to
retain some semblance of page layout if I'm reproducing something.

I'll keep poking at it with a stick, but I really don't think this is
going to do the trick.
