Franco,

Like the Origami device, I cannot understand to whom these devices
are focused. With poor data input options, poor battery life, a
fixation on entertainment and little idea of how to design a machine
for mobile use, it's no wonder sales are so bad. When they are this
bulky, who would not choose a sub-notebook instead?

It seems to exist merely because it can. It's the clueless in search
of the clueless.

As the iPhone and Apple TV make abundantly clear, Mac OS X is the
future for any and all portable devices from Apple - Newton OS has
absolutely no possibility of reappearing though there is no reason
why certain UI, storage and power saving ideas could not usefully
inform development.

Still, we wait for someone to understand the unique properties of a
hand-held computer in the 21st Century. Luckily we have one from the
20th.

Actually this is getting annoying in that the solutions the Newt has
to offer are not magic or that hard to understand - how dim can
people be? Even simple plagiarism would be a good start!

Joel.
