what you have looks similar to what I used to use for dialup, though
the login script is quite different in my case.

many providers no longer support non secure email login. Mine is
with a university, I can use dialup for internet access but not mail.

check your provider for script and whether you can even connect
without 'ssl' or whatever. The Newt cannot provide ssl or https or
other secure connections.

ethernet works fine with my cable internet service.
