Are you saying you don't have a way to charge the battery?

If you open up the battery cover on your 100, there should be a
battery tray inside. You can replace the batteries with fresh AAA's.

If you have an AC adapter with your MP100, use it after you put in
the new batteries. It helps to freshly boot up your MessagePad. After
replacing the batteries on mine after it had sat in storage for a
number of years, it would only boot when the AC adapter was plugged
in. After that, it was fine.
