Paul, NewtSync should still do the trick, even though it's not being
officially supported - if it works, support shmupport - this list is
full of NewtSync users that will help. There is a plug-in on the site
http://homepage.mac.com/nowhereman77/hacks/newton/ called TextSync
that will do what you want. Try that and report back.
