Hi,

How to make icons and 'opening-applications' in the Finder behave
with respect to file extensions and type/creator. I've got a lot of
Newton packages with extension .pkg and type creator NTP1/~Esc. If I
remove the extension, it gives it the correct icon and opens with
Escale. But if the extension is there, it has an Installer package
icon, and opens with Installer (which of course fails). Is there a way
to get type/creator to take precedence over extension?
