OK, this has gone on long enough:

Inside the skin of a golf ball is a wrapping of rubber bands. This is
about a half inch thick... that's about 1.75 centimeters. Inside of
that is a little red rubber ball about an inch... a little over three
centimeters... in diameter. This ball is hollow and the half inch
center is filled with a viscous liquid. I didn't notice any poison gas
when I cut mine open. I used a hacksaw clamped in a vise... if I
remember correctly.
