Yes, that was a good story!
I've got to say that it's very neat when you also meet people you deal
with who know about the Newton or had one.

I walked into my daughter's pediatrician and were going to see him
because my daughter was recovering over a cold and needed to be check
up on before she begins attending Day Care/Nursery School... Well
there we are in the room waiting for the doctor to arrive. I'm
updating the meeting with additional notes when my wife begins telling
me to put away the Newton because the doctor is going be there soon.
No sooner he arrives and comments, 'Is that a Newton? I haven't seen
one since my MP100'. Unfortunately he doesn't have one any longer
because the screen got cracked and he threw it away... what a shame...

But there must be loads of people you bump into that actually might
have had one before...this wasn't my first incident nor will it likely
be my last...

PS: Out there in Italy there is a gentleman I had to say 'No' to a
couple of years back who wanted my MP2000u - he was the son of the
owner of one of the Murano Glass Factories...this was around 1999
maybe June...I hope that he did not give up his search for a Newton...
(He offered me a Murano Glass piece worth somewhere around $2000-$3000
USD, but at the time I could not afford to let go of my precious
Newton.
