Hello,

I'm also a Newton-newbie. I picked up an eMate a few weeks ago. I got
interested in it because my bandmate had brought a Newton to practice one
day, so he could keep track of lyrics he was having trouble with. I'll admit
that, originally, I'd made fun of it's size and weight. But, he was adamant
in his love for it and so I decided to search the net for more info. I was
shocked with how much was out there, esp. for something no longer in
production! So, when I got on the market to get a PDA (though I use mine for
way more than organization), I decided to go with the Newton. I picked the
eMate specifically because of the keyboard. My writing is *horrible* and I
didn't trust in it's writing recognition. (Of course, now I feel like an
idiot for that. It can "translate" almost all of my scribble wonderfully.)
Either way, this list had been an awesome source of info. Without it, I
don't think I'd be nearly as far along in it's use as I am.
Thanks!
Patrick
