Very good tip, bit since Rhonda isn't a Mac user I thought I might just
ad the following extra explanation.
In general it's a good idea to give NCU a lot of memory, (if possible,
of course) double the amount of memory you have for backups, so
internal and card added up together.
So if you have a 20 MB card it's good to give NCU 50 MB memory.
(50000k) For large chunks of text I would also figure you would need
lots.

To set the memory allocation in any Mac OS before OS X you go to the
icon of the app in question and hit Command-I (Command is the Apple key
right next to the spacebar)
You'll see a Suggested Size, a Minimum Size and a Preferred Size, it's
in the last field that you enter the desired value.
