The 2100 can recognize way more cards than the eMate can.
See the FAQ section of the site in the signature for
details.
It might help to install the latest OS if it isn't installed
yet (737246). Apart from fixing some power manager related
bugs it also makes the eMate recognize more cards.
I have had some cases where erasing a card in a 2100 made
it readable in an eMate.
