I think you'll find that the concept of a complete computer that fits
in your pocket was started earlier than the Newton, and firstly
achieved in full by the Psion Series 3. Particularly the printing
facilities of the Psion outshined Newton's (and still do, BTW).

Even Amstrad preceded the Newton's PDA concept. It was crap,
admmitted, but it was /earlier/ crap.
