[NTLK] Screen cleaning and battery questions

Hi All!

I have a question regarding the screen on a 2000. The bottom two thirds has
a fair amount of light scratching, with some parts with gaps in the
scratching. Unfortunately when you write in this section, the print on the
screen is about 2-5mm above the point of the pen or there is no print on the
screen at all (when writing).

Anybody know how to polish the screen up? There does not seem to be a
screen protector film on it.

My other question is in regards to the battery. If I have left the Newton
for a couple of hours, when it restarts it says the battery was dead and
restores everything. I know the battery is not dead as it has not been on
the charger and the charger is not plugged in when I restart it!

Any ideas? Stick it on charge for a day or 2?

BTW, I am glad this list is still as active as it was a few years back! A
great source of information and a credit to those who help out on the list!

Seeya

Rod!
