It draws lines that are made out of some large percentage of
elemental silver and conduct electricity. With this you repair the
cut traces of the eMate screen cable. I've done this before, and it
works.

The gotcha is that the pens I've tried aren't made for flexible
applications, so the repairs stop working after about 5 open/close
cycles. There's a pen from the same manufacturer, however, that's
specially engineered for flexible applications, and I think that
would be a lot more durable-but I haven't tried it out to be sure yet.
