Cheers Mark (and all),

- what page says what about an internal modem?

- Is there somebody who actually installed an internal modem, of what make
and into which MP (2xk most likely, in the space used by e.g. the SER 001
upgrade)?

Cheers Craig (and all),

- are any PCMCIA modems that offer analogue and ISDN connectibility (e.g.
IBM) running on Newton?
- What drivers are neccessary?

Downside for MP130: Can't use modem card and additional storage at the same
time, so if storage is required, a modem on serial port is the way.

- Are there any external modems available anywhere that offer analogue and
ISDN connectibility and run on Newton?

Newton telephony:

In the archive
<http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=newtontalk&m=102710463727802&w=2
note from somebody who wrote that he'd used his MP 2100 to call a pizza
delivery service, but didn't get the internal speaker to work properly.

- Has it ever been figured out how he got his Newton to work as a phone,
and has the internal speaker issue been resolved?
- Is there a how-to anywhere?

(Full-on telephony via Newton would be *really* nice, esp. if you fit the
2xk with a combined headphone/mic-jack for a proper 2-way headset... Like,
leave the MP brick in yer pocket, and accept any incoming calls by pushing
the power switch...)

Greetings, DJV.
