OS 9 is very quick on the 2300c I have

We use this machine nearly daily. It sits in the kitchen where my wife
uses it for quick web access, recipes, and playing a game or two while
waiting for something to cook. Its also her laptop to take along places
like taking the kids to swimming lessons, etc

Anything up to but not including 9.2.x can be placed on the Duo (see
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=112332 )
This is the spec sheet for the Duo 2300c/100
There are/were faster versions depending on where you lived (ie/ Canada
never had the 2400 available, but we had a PowerMac 7600/200 which the
US did not)
