generally I prefer the Zaurus hardware to PocketPC; and there are more
freeware aps, though not as many commercial apps as PocketPC; sync is also a
problem for Mac users.

a quick question: did your Dell Axim come with an install CD that contains
Insignia's Jeode (Java VM)? iPaq includes this. (so I've got my CrozzWord
app running on Zaurus, PocketPC(iPaq), along with Mac and regular Windows).
