Is there enough room for squirting a little epoxy resin on the sides
and/or behind the interconnect adapter? One would imagine that, like the
eMate hinge malady, some type of preventative maintenance is possible.
Would this lead to heat-related problems? Does the resin conduct
electricity, even partially?

Have I spaced out completely and such a reinforcement is standard for
any smart 2x00 owner?

I realize this doesn't help the current situation, but hopefully we can
prevent this from happening more.
