    Definitely yes. Get thee to NuShield http://www.NuShield.net/ and
purchase some protection for your screen. The life of your Newton will be
extended by using proper screen protection. Their clear shields are very
good and don't cause much reduction of screen image.
    And when you take one off after a few months of use, you'll be able to
see all the abuse you saved your screen from.

    Use the 2000u and keep the 2100 as a backup. I have three 2x00 series
Newts. I'm using a scuffed and worn 2000u, I have an as-new 2000 and a 2100
on which the backlight has dimmed. Should the 2000u give up the ghost the
motherboard from the 2100 gets transferred into the 2000 and I'm ready to
go.
