I am looking to get started writing apps for the Newton.

I am currently a software developer writing apps in C++ for the windoze
platform using microsoft's development environment (have to pay the bills
somehow :)

Is there a good FAQ on how to get started?

I am looking for recommendations on what is the best platform to develop
on, compilers, programming languages, etc.

I have access to Macintosh equipment.
