I fried one of my MP's using a generic auto adapter. It was set correctly,
but that didn't make any difference. There was a puff of smoke, and that was
all she wrote. Interestingly ( and happily ), the modem and memory cards
were undamaged. Needless to say, I'm sticking with the factory adapter and/
or rechargeable AA's from now on.
