We have about 5-6 users showing up. We're not doing a lot of advertising
outside NewtonTalk, I think, unless Paul F. does otherwise... The last time
I called the meeting, I had a mailing list of maybe 12-15 people. One
problem I did notice is that we're lacking a little bit some kind of
organization or planification for the meeting. I think the next time, I'll
try to come up with some subject or software and demonstrate it.

I'd be glad to go to NYC, but I don't see this happening any time soon. But,
let us know when you're planning it, you never know...

gib /jib/: 1. vi. To destroy utterly. Like frag, but much more violent and final. "There's no trace left. You definitely gibbed that bug". 2. n. Remnants after total obliteration. Originated first by id software in the game Quake. It's short for giblets (thus pronounced "jib"), and referred to the bloody remains of slain opponents. Eventually the word was verbed, and leaked into general usage afterward.
