if you intend to use the newt/ncp2 combo instead of your cell, i can tell
you there is no way you can do that. for incoming calls, the newt/ncp2
constellation sux, besides you need a special program for that. for outgoin=
g
calls, its possible, but it im still keeping my phone. SMS is what really
works good (with stefan auweilers newtSMS).
the NCP2 is an extreme geek tool and i love it, but mainly for mail. i woul=
d
never use a PDA for telephony unless it had voice recognition, which,
unfortunately can take time to get on the NOS platform :P
a side effect from using the newt as a phone is that it is more likely to
become damaged, as you use the newt more often. a phone must be
tear-and-werar resistant, which is not a description for an mp2k screen!
if you value your newton and your newts batts, use the NCP as a mail/fax
tool. make outgoing calls only if you need to show off ;-D (use the
assistant to place a call, just write "call <the name of the person> and ta=
p
"do")
when i made some using experiments with the newt/ncp2 combo, i found out
that the calls application was really useful. especially with moreinfo you
could have had extreme value for your money - but again, the newt doesnt
work that well for incoming calls.
