AFAIK Mac os 8/8.1 will run on 68k (I think 8.6 is the first PPC only
OS).
I am sure I was using 8.1 when I played with Basilisk a while back.
(as I also have assorted Macs I don't need to use it.)
also I am sure my Duo280c is running 8.1 (I will check it out when I
get home if I can find it.)
