My favorite convergent technology (albiet, a bit
bulky) was the Simon! Now there was a phone/organizer!
80C186 processor, 8 inches high, 2 inches thick. The
whole front of the phone was a touch sensitive LCD and
the backlight (much like the Newt) could light up a
dark room! And, it was heavy enough to use as a weapon
in the less than savory neighborhoods! Too bad it
didn't take off...
