I think it's easy to get your pediatrician to give your child the meds
used to control AD/HD. If your child's teacher complains about unruly
behavior, and as a parent find your child's behavior hyperactive, you
get the meds. It's like physicians prescribing antibiotics for people
with common colds: your patient is standing there, tapping his
foot...what are you going to do?
