I've successfully done one so far. It involved a special soft chuck to clamp
the Ti-Stylus into the lathe in order to get the new tip well round and
right in diameter with respect to the stylus. The new tip I machined off one
of the plastic styli we all bought some months ago (my godness we had dozens
of billions of e-mails in this thread...).
