Arent we all simply pissed off that the Ipod is a glorified record player
rather than the new "newton that we are hoping will one day manifest itself.
Personally, if I had the bread, and went about my business with a walkman or
a discman then I would buy one immediately, but fortunately I dont.
Now if I could plug it into my car radio, that would be different.

as for the "new Newton" , I think we should forget about it and use the ones
we have until they cease to exist and by then there will be a palm device
which lets face it would do the job for most of us just as well.

The bottom line ,I feel, (bloody awful punctuation here), is that we
actually like that "geeky, Dinosaur " impression we give to other people
when they see us using our newts and then we proudly tell them what the
machines can do and they are usually impressed and then explain that they
can put their palms in their backpockets and so on...
