Take a look at the documentation that is included, they explain how to
set up the NCT system in MPW, chose a project and compile it. If you
have set it up correctly, the NCT expands the MPW shell with a couple of
menus that contain actions like compiling, selecting a project etc.

If you start with the demo projects, it's really simple. MPW itself is
not bad, and there is still a lot of documentation on Apple's site.
